Although I’m not happy about being in second last, at least it’s a really close race so far. (with one exception).

I’m just happy that the Oilers won yesterday. Of course I didn’t get to see any of the game, but I assume that it was great firewagon hockey. Can’t get enough of Oilers playoff hockey…

It wasn’t bad – the Oilers aren’t playing a free wheeling game with Det..they can’t, so they are resorting to the…gulp..trap – but it’s working, they’re clogging up the neutral zone on Det., causing turnovers..

Well I guess whatever works – I’d like to see them put their speed and physical play to work, but I guess after losing so many times to Dallas, they’ve decided to change their tactics a little.

Hopefully you guys have figured out that I’ve made some changes to the site. The message board is now the first thing you see when you come to Debacleville. I figure that this is what we use the most, anyway.

I was starting to get nervous here at work…with the website down and all – It really slows the work day down!? I’m assuming more changes are to come, though, cause I can’t see half the screen anymore. Just a big hairy picture of Jeff licking Underwear Man.

Are you serious? Is that all you see? There should be a menu down the left and all of us in our Letter shirts along the top.
But I haven’t finished getting all the pages uploaded (like profiles, events, etc).

Oh The website, I do see the menu on the left hand side and the beauty mugshots up top. The Menu screen just rolls down across the comments’ section. Hey I’m not picky, nor would I want to complain about our thriving tech advancements…I’m just saying, I can’t read them all with that MeNu In ThE wAy?! And by the way, without much fan fare or debate, has the Nation started to advertise? Are we sell outs? Will Moby release a song which happens to instantly become our website soundtrack…oh the controversy!

Hockey Standings…I can’t even access the Hockey Pool site?! Let alone the standings…This workplace freeze on gaming sites put a real kabosh to my fantasy world. My Basketball team was just starting the playoffs and the Hockey pool Championship was within my grasp. Who knows, maybe Debacle V would have been in Toronto had this not all unravelled. It’ll be like that Chris Dingman 7 minute penalty last night…had it never happened, you never know, Tampa may have been a contender…

Bizerko, I would suggest Halifax wouldn’t be able to cope with a Debacle and Borutskie visit in the same calendar year…keep the Peace out East. So when did you leave last night, 7-2 or 8-4? Chris Neil the 3rd Star, hilarious. Leaf Fans, let alone Tampa fans, everywhere now hate him.

It was 7-3 I think…Neil was ala Claude Lemieux, sure he turtled against Dignman, but that’s a 7min. PP for Ottawa – at one point TB had 8 PPs to Ottawa’s 1..gar-bage..is the weekend of May 25th still a go?

Steve Nash is about to win his second straight MVP title…An Amazing feat, Terrific year, undisputed over-achiever. But with all the Basketball story lines from this year, does he really stand out? I would hate to see Lebron win it at his ripe age and Kobe with his garbage, but the NBA did have some awesome star power this year…and Nash stands above them? Awesome.

I see the menu blocking problem. I’ll have to figure that out. It’s an Internet Explorer thing. I use Firefox. Explorer is a bag of shit, and this is a prime example of why. It is unreliable and unsecure.

Hmm. I don’t see a quick fix on this one. All I know is the site works perfect with Firefox. You guys should be using this instead of IE. Explorer is one of the main reasons people get spyware and viruses on their computers.

It’s true, when you first enter the site, I’m sorry to say, the face lick/menu option remains overlapping. Once you click on “comments”, your beautiful vision of the Message Board comes together…These are the struggles the Nation faces. Managing the CBC schedule as well – 2 Alberta games in one night on one channel? Ouch.

I was just asking a totally unrelated question…more of a…”Boy, I wonder if Rich will be visiting his newborn neice this summer?” and/or a “Boy, doesn’t Rich have a great cottage & great parents, I wonder if he’ll fly out to Ontario this summer to enjoy such company?”. It is good to see some of our Canadian Hockey teams can still produce when it matters. Wish I could say the same for the Canucks. But it should be interesting to see what they’ll do now that they have fired Crawford. I don’t think the NHL has ever been more interesting. So much chage, so much controversy.

$1400/month there Bunny…Ughh, how much longer is left on that lease? Maybe we should all just suck it up by getting a fraternity house, I mean, Debacle house. God knows how much Franco hated the fraternity comparisons…It would solve so many logistical issues surrounding the Nation. Hmmm, anybody in the Nation in Real Estate? We have a tech guy, an over-priced clothing guy, a smart guy, deranged Maple Leaf fan, unemployed student, unimpressed worker, all we need now is somebody with Real Estate skills…somebody…anybody?

Bunny, you make a good point about hockey. It’s awesome right now. The New NHL. I can’t remember the last time I was channel surfing between games and following different matchups…not since Sega NHL Hockey ’96 perhaps?! All they have to do now is strongly encourage the Sabres to go back to the retro uniforms, find a way to have a team other than NJ win the Cup (preferrably a Canadian team…but I don’t know if anyone can stop NJ), and one power failure or full blown Coaching Battle during playoffs (ala Shonfeild/O’Reilly of ’88 or Burns/Melrose of ’93). Something like that would send this years playoffs through the roof…

Yeah, Fisher got hit – but he’s fine and will be playing tonight (I think). This will be a very TOUGH game for Ott to win, but I think they can do it – anyways, they got the split, that’s what matters right now..take it game by game, just like I do in ball hockey (had to throw that in for Reid)..a debacle house..now, that I idea I like. Any suggestions for Halifax? Should I stay in all weekend..Sanity?

That’s right, $1400/month. The lease is done. I’m month-to-month right now. I’ve actually only had to pay the full $1400 for May. Up until now, i’ve had a roommate. But I figure with the amount of moving I’ve done (Ktown to Hammertown (6 different houses), to Australia (6 different trailer parks), back to Ktown, back to Hammertown, to VanCity (going on 3 different apartments) I may as well be in Real Estate! How ’bout that, Sanity? I’m a Jack Of All Trades.

Judging by my performance in the hockey pool, I begin to wonder if I should have joined Seb and not taken part for the playoffs. I just can’t catch a break. Maybe I need to clear my head, do some research and prepare for next season. Or maybe I should start a CFL pool! Anyone interested? Didn’t think so.
